Our Honey

Our unique honey can be enjoyed as a daily necessity or used for incredible medicinal purposes. Rich in antioxidants with high antibacterial value, it is not surprising that the ancient Greeks knew the infinite benefits of honey.

Forest Honey

Halkidiki Region

  • Generally, honey is dark amber, but depending on the type of honeydew that was collected, its colour can change. The aroma of forest honey is characterized by a floral, malt and rich aroma.

Unlike other honey, forest honey is a kind of wild honey that is not available for most of the year. It is only collected from October to December and will not be available again until the next season, so it is a seasonal product.

Its consumption has been shown to strengthen the body of illnesses such as anaemia, stress and physical and mental effort.

Honey increases insulin in the body and releases serotonin, a hormone that is converted into melatonin and is responsible for regulating sleep.

Pine Honey

Halkidiki Region

  • Pine honey accounts for almost 65% of all honey production in Greece and is a type of wild honey made by honey bees.

It is a darker honey with a richer flavour, higher mineral content, and includes specific nutritional and therapeutic benefits. Studies have shown that honeydew honey, like pine honey, has stronger antioxidant properties than common flower honey. Due to its antibacterial properties, it can also be applied directly to the skin to accelerate the healing of wounds, burns and sunburns.

For healthy growth, consuming pine honey will be very helpful to combat iron deficiency and diseases that occur in children due to improper nutrition. Pine honey has a weight loss function as long as it is taken in a glass of warm water every morning on an empty stomach.

Cotton Honey

Halkidiki Region

  • Cotton flowers are attractive to bees and offer a small amount of nectar only on the first day of flowering, when white or cream (pale yellow).

Cotton honey is incredibly difficult to obtain in its purest state as cotton is chemically intensive, however in Greece, the cotton fields are in the wild and the bees are set to roam free without the added chemicals, making pure Greek cotton honey extremely rare and incredibly unique.

Cotton honey has a high antibacterial potency, like buckwheat, Blueberry, Heather and/or Manuka Honey.

In nature, cotton honey has the highest concentration of hydrogen peroxide and offers very high antibacterial activity than any other Greek honey variety.
